I awoke at 4:30 this morning.
Lately, I've felt rattled, unorganized, flaky. Try as I might to work, work, work, I can't quite get it all together. I've managed to tackle a couple of organizational projects at home, and that has helped. But still, there's a sense of calm and confidence lacking in my day-to-day work.
Then I remembered the habit of an online friend who awakes very early each morning to have some time to write and think and prioritize. Incidentally, a co-worker mentioned that he does the same. I cannot function late at night--never could. Mornings, however, are golden for me.
So, here I am. I've created and reviewed my priority list for the work day. I've showered, dressed, breakfasted. I've had time to read. I've had time to write.
I may be dead on my feet by 1pm, but for now, I think this arrangement just might work.
