Playroom Pelmet Box

The playroom is still a work in progress. In fact, it's more like three or four organization and decorating projects rolled into one. A few months ago, Jenny at Little Green Notebook posted her tutorial for ridiculously easy pelmet boxes. I knew that a pelmet box would be perfect for the playroom window. I made mine tailored and simple for Al's playroom, and I added a simple modification that made it a cinch to hang. After spending hours at the fabric store one afternoon, I finally discovered a bolt of this orangy-red twill fabric. The trim is 1-inch royal blue grosgrain ribbon.

Not bad for some foam core and a staple gun, huh?

OMG - wish I had known all that a few years back when I did that for one of my windows! But my youngest son (in high school at the time!) and I did create some memorable moments during that project!
