I finally watched the mommy-blogging* segment from the Today Show. Heather Armstrong's interviewer(s) seemed ignorant at best, and I think Armstrong did an outstanding job of exuding grace and intelligence.
But here's the one thing that I just don't understand:
How the heck did the dingbat from the Carnival Cruise Line commercials get a gig on the Today Show?
*Man, that word bothers me.

I cannot stand that word either.
I agree 100% that Heather exuded all of the above and then some because I would have grabbed Carnival Cruise lady, shoved her head in my bosom and screamed "CAN YOU SHUT IT FOR JUST ONE MINUTE AND LET ME ANSWER THE QUESTION WITHOUT INTERRUPTING WITH A STORY ABOUT YOURSELF OR YOUR IGNORANCE OF COMPUTERS, BLOGS, AND LIFE IN GENERAL? No?" then I'd slap her silly. But that's just me.
With Kathie Lee, every segment/story comes back to herself. I love how they let her do it, when she doesn't even "get" computers. They set the segment up for failure. Did Heather even get an entire sentence out of her mouth without being interrupted? SO annoying.
I finally watched it too, and Heather was awesome. I agree that both interviewers, but especially Kathie Lee, were just ignorant. I would have liked a real interview. You know, with research done ahead of time and interesting questions. At least Heather came of great!
