Sick Day

Apparently, it is way easier to set up a domain than it is to simply update a blog. For me, anyway.

Al and I skipped school today. We'd both been feeling a little icky over the weekend with stuffy heads and body aches and headaches, and while we both probably would have been just fine to go to our schools today, we just weren't feeling it. Instead, we spent the morning on the couch watching Jose Eber open a new salon in Vegas on the Fine Living channel, and then a marathon of DVRed Wiggles. That boy loves him some Wiggles, and I'm pretty skilled at blocking them out while I doze.

After four hours of lounging, we had some lunch.

Then, I decided to give Al a haircut.

Because I am a sick and demented individual.

There was considerable less blood shed this time. He sat at the kitchen table with a couple of suckers, "pop" (soda), and The Wiggles (that's right--more Anthony, more Greg, more Murray, and more Jeff) on YouTube. I am not one bit ashamed of bribing my kid with sugar and dancing men in order to pull off a much needed haircut.

Honestly, I wish that Al could rock the long hair (see: Sweet Babboo). I love, LOVE, LUHVE long hair on guys and boys. But, alas, he has none of the wave or curls that toddler hair needs in order to pull it off. Instead, once his stick-straight hair grows beyond a certain point, he doesn't look hip, he just looks like he needs a haircut in a bad way.

Today:

Yes, he's wearing shorts and sandals in February. Don't hate us, because it will be freezing tomorrow, I'm sure.

Excellent hair cut! Good job! And he is such a cutie, with long or short hair.

Hope you are both feeling better.

If I tried to cut Bumper's hair, you'd be hearing about it on the news. OH THE BLOODSHED!

Anyhow, he is handsome and um - we are waist deep in snow. So freakin' jealous...

Sorry about the sick day...but I love Al's hair. LOVE IT.

(We are trying to figure out "when is the right time to cut your kids hair"? We actually got into a fight about it this weekend...which is odd since neither of us want to cut it!)
