Blast From the Past: When Dorks Have Babies

This post was originally published on July 9, 2006. I'm feeling a little under the weather this week (too much kissing on a sickly boy this weekend, I suspect), so I thought I'd share one of my favorites from way back.

The Mr. brought Al to me after tonight's bath looking like this:
Ah, the middle-parted wings. In the 80s, guys who had perfected this hairstyle were fine. Wonder if we have a chance of ever training Al's hair to do that naturally?

Clearly, he's all for it.

And if we had left it at that, why, we would have had a fine chuckle for the evening. Wings! Feathered hair! On our six-month old! Har-dee-har!

Well.

We couldn't just leave well enough alone. Of course not.

Dah, dah, dah, dah...snap* snap*
Dah, dah, dah, dah...snap* snap*
They're creepy and they're kooky,
Mysterious and spooky,
They're all together ooky,
The Addams Family.

Hey, man. God made Hyland's, man. Peace.

oh my GOD I totally forgot about that Freedom Rock commercial, but now I'm struggling to remember more. Was it radio or tv? Well, whatever it was, turn it up, indeed.

LOVE the wig.

I'm not sure what's more funny. The wig on Al, or the fact that you actually have that in the house! J/K :)

All joking aside, the pics are so cute, as always. Where on earth did he learn to be so photogenic?

Can't. Stop. Giggling.
In the midst of a cardboard forest... figured I'd take a break seeing as I've lost the tape.
So funny! So sweet!
Thanks for the pick-me-up!

hee hee heeeeeee I'm crying.... How much fun are babies ESPECIALLY when we are bored? But what I want to know Jezer: is that your wig?

I'm with Reesh, I must go and find our mullet wig asap.

(We call the middle split hair-do a "Craig Pullman" after a guy I knew who ALWAYS did his hair like that. It was not cute.)

Lord I had totally forgotten about the middle parted wings. My eighth-grade-boyfriend-for-a-month had those and you're right, he was fine (NOT).

I'm with Mother Bumper, what's the story behind the wig?
The middle parted feathered hair, with a wide-toothed Goody comb in the back pocket of tight Big Blue wide whale jeans, skin tight football jersy tucked in. I'm getting dazed and confused just thinking about it.
